So, I was searching on ebay and saw a Gemmy item that was being sold as is. It was the Grim Reaper playing organ (The 1998 model) and the listing said it doesn't work because the battery compartment was corroded, and the middle spring (battery contact) was missing. So I figured "Hmmm, there must be a way to revive this item". So I did some research on how to clean a corroded battery compartment. I found a video on YouTube, which was a very simple to learn method (No, I did not try this experiment yet, but I will give it a go one of these days), the video can be seen here. Phase 1 complete. Now phase 2 was where things would be tricky. I resereched some info on how to fix/replace battery contacts, which lead me to this blog page which shows a simple experiment on a pretty good substitute for the springs in battery contacts. I don't know about you, but I found that rather interesting. So, if I decide to buy the broken organ playing reaper, (Which I probably might, since I really want this version so badly) I'm gonna try these two experiments out back to back and see if I can get it working again.
